Risk and Compliance Specialist

Fat Zebra provides technology-enabled payment processing solutions for merchants and suppliers. Our platform simplifies the payments process, enabling businesses to focus on growth.

  • We are seeking a skilled Risk and Compliance Specialist to join our Merchant Risk Team in Melbourne or Sydney.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess incoming merchant applications and determine risk profiles.
  • Evaluate business legitimacy by reviewing corporate documentation, websites, and other sources.
  • Liaise with merchants to clarify details and request supporting documents.
  • Develop automation tools and enhance onboarding processes.
  • Build strong relationships with the sales team to provide risk input during merchant onboarding.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Risk, Finance, Law, Business, or Technology.
  • Ability to assess risk and recommend independent decisions based on policy and judgement.
  • Great communication skills, especially written, with the ability to explain decisions clearly and professionally.
  • Proactive, adaptable mindset, able to work independently and grow as the role evolves.
