We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Criminology Graduate to join our team as a Behaviour Support Assistant at Academics Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to gain valuable experience and skills in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and associated social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH) and challenges.
- Work alongside teachers and specialist staff to identify students' risks and needs, escalating where necessary.
- Provide consistency and equip children and young people with tools to ensure they feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe that they can succeed in life.
- Help students manage their behaviour and develop positive coping strategies.
- Work in the classroom, both in large groups and on a 1:1 basis, to help students through their school day.
- Recent Criminology Graduate with a passion for working with vulnerable groups of children.
- Ability to work in a challenging environment and provide support to students with complex needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships with teachers, therapists, and psychologists.
- A competitive daily rate of £80-£90.
- A Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 3:30 schedule.
- The opportunity to gain relevant experience and skills in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
- Networking opportunities with teachers, therapists, and psychologists on-site at the school.
