Delivering scalable and resilient storage solutions on the AWS cloud infrastructure is a critical aspect of this role. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal part in designing, building, and optimizing high-performance systems that cater to mission-critical applications.
You will be responsible for developing distributed storage systems, APIs, and backend services that ensure low-latency, high-throughput, and fault-tolerant data storage. Your work will directly impact system reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
In collaboration with principal engineers, architects, SREs, and product teams, you will define technical roadmaps, improve storage efficiency, and optimize access patterns. Performance tuning, data modeling, caching strategies, and cost optimization across AWS storage services like S3, DynamoDB, EBS, EFS, FSx, and Glacier are also key aspects of this role.
This position requires hands-on experience working with AWS cloud services, particularly AWS storage technologies. Additionally, experience in designing and developing distributed systems or high-scale backend services is essential.
Required skills include strong programming skills in Kotlin, as well as experience working in agile environments following DevOps and CI/CD best practices. The ability to mentor junior engineers, participate in design reviews, and advocate for engineering best practices is also crucial.
Beyond technical expertise, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of infrastructure automation, security best practices, and monitoring strategies using tools like Terraform, CloudWatch, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.
