Job Description

We are seeking a Product Security Lead to join our team and take charge of embedding security into every layer of our SaaS platform. You will collaborate with product managers, developers, and data engineers to design, develop, and deploy secure software applications.

The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise in data security principles, web application data security architectures, and technologies. They will also have excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and identify root causes of complex issues.

You will work closely with our DevSecOps and Infrastructure teams to ensure consistency in approach and alignment with internal policies. Additionally, you will own client-facing security documentation, respond to security assessments and questionnaires from clients, and implement and maintain product security tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Embed security practices across the software development lifecycle (SDLC) including secure coding, vulnerability scanning, threat modeling, and design reviews
  • Collaborate with software engineering and product teams to proactively identify and address security risks in our SaaS applications
  • Manage security incidents, own and maintain security documentation, and respond to security assessments and questionnaires from clients
  • Implement and maintain product security tools (e.g. static analysis, dependency scanning, credential monitoring)
  • Work closely with DevSecOps and Infrastructure teams to ensure consistency in approach and alignment with internal policies
Requirements
  • Strong academics, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Understanding of data security principles, web application data security architectures, and technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and identify root causes of complex issues
  • Experience with tools such as Snyk, OWASP ZAP, GitHub Dependabot, etc., is highly regarded
  • A proactive approach to self-education in new areas as technology and security best practices evolve
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
