Workshop Technician Role

A mechanical maintenance professional is required to ensure the quality and availability of subsea oil and gas equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and promoting adherence to quality management systems.

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a workshop technician. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and repairing subsea oil and gas equipment in accordance with WOP and BH EHS standards.
  • Ensuring the availability of materials, equipment, parts, procedures, and qualifications to perform the job efficiently.
  • Commissioning, running, maintaining, and repairing Baker Hughes equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Following workshop procedures and ensuring compliance with quality management systems.
  • Promoting adherence to company and regulatory quality management systems.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Mechanical Fitting Cert III qualification or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of relevant workshop experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Good mechanical skills, problem-solving abilities, and multitasking skills with technical equipment.
  • Capability of performing basic mathematical calculations and possessing good mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Experience and knowledge of subsea components such as trees, chokes, IWOCS, and control systems.
