Job Title: Academic in Popular Culture and Music Industry

About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled academic to join our team as an expert in popular culture and music industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and research efforts within our School.

Key Responsibilities:

The Lecturer is expected to contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School, in the areas of Popular Culture and/or Music Industry. The role involves preparing and delivering courses at undergraduate, honours and postgraduate levels, including online delivery, producing high-quality curriculum or program materials, undertaking course coordination roles, and maintaining scholarly, research and/or professional capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver courses at undergraduate and post-graduate levels
  • Ability to undertake course coordination roles
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with students, especially on issues related to effective learning
  • Emerging track record of quality research outputs which will contribute to existing Discipline and School research areas

Desirable Attributes:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop new research initiatives
  • Success in competitive research funding
  • Demonstrated links within industries related to Popular Culture and/or Music Industry

Qualifications:

Mandatory: PhD in a relevant field
