Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Consultant CAMHS Psychiatrist to join our team at Jupiter Recruitment. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and management of young people with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Admission and Assessment: Review referrals and determine appropriateness for admission, conduct admission assessments, and maintain effective management plans for all young people on the unit.
- Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct risk assessments and review regularly to ensure the safety and well-being of young people.
- Clinical Leadership: Allocate specialist psychological treatments in line with individual needs, assess physical health, and ensure effective liaison with referring teams.
- Quality and Governance: Facilitate regular CPA review meetings and act as Responsible Clinician for young people detained under the Mental Health Act.
Requirements:
- Experience: Experience of CAMHS Forensic and/or Eating Disorders desirable.
- Clinical Leadership: Ability to take a clinical leadership role in a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality care.
- Personal Qualities: Ability to appraise own performance as a Consultant and reflect on development needs.
- Technical Skills: Ability to use IT, including email and the internet.
