Key Role in Education Development:

The Education Officer plays a pivotal part in cultivating, coordinating, and promoting education resources.

This encompasses developing webinar presentations, storyboards, website content, screencasts, employer guides, and other relevant gender equality resources. The position involves coordinating education events, roundtables, and training sessions, as well as maintaining our community of practice groups.

Responsibilities Overview:

  • Support the development and coordination of a community of practice in gender equality.
  • Design and develop new educational content and resources aligning with the broader education strategy, driving content development across various platforms.
  • Provide expertise on a broad range of topics related to gender equality by delivering clear, considered, and insightful educational tools for public dissemination.
  • Evaluate, maintain, and update existing educational tools and resources, including online materials and presentations.
  • Monitor emerging education trends and ensure that our education material reflects current evidence and practices.
  • Build, maintain, and manage relationships with external stakeholders, particularly educators and business representatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-organisation project teams to deliver the education program, both internally and externally.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Utilize professional expertise to lead the production of research-based educational resources.
  • Produce multimedia content in an education environment, including understanding software programs such as Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite, and experience with creating motion graphics, eLearning modules, webinars, slides, and H5P.
  • Have knowledge of workplace gender equality issues and principles to create diverse educational materials.
  • Critically analyze new and existing literature to ensure our education material reflects emerging best practices in addressing workplace gender inequality.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, including influencing senior stakeholders and negotiating productive outcomes.
