About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Services Assistant in Strathalbyn Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a friendly and welcoming workplace, providing a timely, efficient, and effective catering, cleaning, and laundry service within the health unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing a high-quality catering and cleaning service to patients, residents, and staff.
  • Operating independently with minimal supervision, using initiative and judgment in day-to-day execution of the position.
  • Participating in ongoing job rotation through multi-skilling arrangements, including catering assistant duties, delivery, collection, and disposal of linen.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with patients, residents, and staff, exercising courtesy and tact at all times.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in providing a catering service or in cleaning in a commercial or health environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, using initiative and judgment in day-to-day execution of the position.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a flexible approach to work and rostering systems.
  • Ability to use initiative and judgment in day-to-day execution of the position, with a focus on providing a high-quality service.
