About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Airservices Australia. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and installation activities on critical air traffic control and aviation rescue and firefighting systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing time-sensitive preventive and corrective maintenance, and project installation activities in accordance with prescribed processes and procedures.
  • Maintaining an awareness and understanding of the impact that work undertaken can have on Airservices systems.
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with other Airservices staff to ensure effective coordination of all activities in support of organisational objectives.
  • Timely and accurate data entry into the maintenance management systems.
  • Participating in the implementation of enterprise governance systems and policies, including safety, environmental, work health and safety, risk, and compliance.
  • Promoting workplace health and safety and contributing to a safe working environment.
  • Actively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of service delivery and work practices.

Requirements:

  • Possession of relevant licencing as specified by Legislative and/or Airservices requirements, Queensland, and New South Wales Electrical Licence.
  • A strong commitment to working in a team environment with a focus on delivering the highest level of customer service.
  • Ability to develop knowledge and understanding of the policies, procedures, and legislation relevant to the position.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise, organise, and perform activities with limited guidance, for cost-effective outcomes.
  • Ability to develop knowledge and experience performing maintenance and installation activities on electrical systems such as power reticulation, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), standby generating sets, air conditioning control, DC power and battery systems.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.
  • Current Queensland and New South Wales Electrical workers' licence.
  • Current CPR/LVR.
  • Current Australian Open Driver's Licence.
  • Construction industry White Card.
