Job Description:
">- The Wellbeing Workforce initiative has been established to support Queensland state school students.
- This role is part of the initiative and will ensure every student has access to support for their wellbeing at school.
About the Role:
">- This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about supporting the wellbeing of students.
- You will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and contribute to the growth and development of the wellbeing services across the Region.
Mandatory Requirements:
">- Please refer to the respective role description for each discipline for specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
">- Assessing the mental health needs of students
- Delivering individual and group interventions
- Working collaboratively with schools' leadership and student support teams
- Providing advice to teachers supporting students' mental health in the classroom
- Developing referral and case management processes
- Coordinating referrals to external agencies
- Working collaboratively with external networks and stakeholders
Additional Information:
">- You will focus on delivering wellbeing support and counselling to students, while also providing guidance duties such as verifications and career counselling within the wider school context.
Skills and Qualifications:
">- Experience in mental health settings
- Ability to work with students of all ages and backgrounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Capacity to develop and maintain effective relationships with schools and external partners
