Senior Associate: Australia Employment Law Expert

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Associate to join the practice led by Managing Partner Rebecca Kelly to focus on contentious and non-contentious matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong employment background and experience with large-scale international and regional top tier firms.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients on compliance with local laws and regulations, as well as instructing and liaising with correspondent law firms.
  • Representing global, multinational, and local clients on employment issues.
  • Advising clients on large-scale restructuring exercises, including employee communications and drafting documents.
  • Structuring client transactions and advising on workforce conduct issues and internal matters.
  • Providing support to clients on employment issues, including recruitment and sponsorship procedures and terminations of employment.
  • Undertaking employment due diligence, drafting warranties and indemnities in agreements, and transferring employees.
  • Drafting and amending contracts, employee handbooks, policies, and procedures, and other employment-related documentation.
  • Defending clients in large-scale employment disputes and advising on settlement and drafting settlement agreements.

About You:

We are looking for a Senior Associate with 6+ years of experience in employment law, preferably in a large-scale international or regional top tier firm, to join the Corporate practice reporting directly to the Australian Managing Partner Rebecca Kelly.
