About the Role

Findex is seeking a highly skilled SMSF Manager to lead our dynamic team in delivering exceptional superannuation compliance services to clients. This role offers flexibility in terms of location, with options to be based in Mildura, Adelaide, or one of our Tasmanian offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 4-6 accounting staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of superannuation compliance services.
  • Coach, empower, and support team members to achieve timely, relevant, and accurate outcomes.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and drive workflows, aiming for optimal resource utilization.
  • Plan workflow for the coming week, ensuring staff members have work commensurate with their experience and achieve a good utilization of resources.
  • Conduct final review of processed funds in preparation for audit, following Findex best practice standards and procedures.
  • Mentor and coach team members to meet their goals and targets while improving the quality of work and growing the skills and abilities of our people.
  • Work with the SMSF partner and other client leads to achieve compliance and advisory outcomes that deliver for both clients and the business.
What You'll Need
  • Proven SMSF accounting experience.
  • Leadership experience within a public practice setting (advantageous).
  • People management skills and the ability to successfully monitor the workflow of direct reports.
  • Experience in a broad range of tax, accounting, and business matters.
