Network Planning Engineer

As a network planning engineer, you will play a crucial role in our organization's mission to deliver resilient and secure network solutions.

Our team is dedicated to supporting the supervision of FTI equipment and service order installation and activation.

You will collaborate with internal and external teams to implement scheduled network maintenance events and manage special projects that support program requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute and document formal acceptance testing of FTI products and services per program requirements.
  • Possess an intermediate level of experience troubleshooting IP network configurations.
  • Domain knowledge of data protocols including TCP/IP, DMVPN, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EIGRP, HSRP, IS-IS, LDP, PIM, MSDP, and Ethernet.
  • Strong customer interface skills supporting coordination of both Telco providers and Harris field technician site access as required.

Additionally, you will be responsible for executing services disconnects throughout the establish Network / CPE per customer and program request via establish program disconnect process.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • Graduate Degree or equivalent with 2 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Previous Network experience Prefer 3 or more years' experience working with SONET equipment and Optical Circuits.
