About Our Opportunity
As an Australian Government Border Force Supervisor, you will play a critical role in enforcing laws and regulations related to illicit tobacco trade. Your responsibilities will include conducting investigations, gathering evidence, and collaborating with domestic and international partners to disrupt and dismantle organized crime elements.

About Our Team
The Illicit Tobacco Taskforce is a specialist enforcement capability within the Australian Border Force, focusing on the detection, disruption, and dismantling of actors and organizations involved in the illicit tobacco trade. We work closely with other government agencies and law enforcement bodies to protect Australia's borders and community.

Job Description
This role involves supervising investigations, providing evidence in court, and working collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives. You will be required to participate in operational responses to border security risks and ensure the optimal utilization of ABF capabilities and powers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence to prepare briefs of evidence
  • Work closely with Home Affairs portfolio agencies and other Commonwealth and/or State law enforcement bodies
  • Gather intelligence and provide evidence in court
  • Design and implement operational responses to border security risks
  • Liaise with domestic and international partners to achieve strategic objectives


Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
  • Australian citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (AGSVA) security clearance and an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC)
  • Certificate IV in Government (Investigations) or other recognized qualification
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Salary
The estimated annual salary for this role is between $84,335 and $99,779, plus superannuation.
