Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Engine Field Service Technician to join our team at Cummins. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for completing preventative maintenance and basic repair activities on engines and related components at customer sites with minimal direction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring prompt and efficient attention to their needs.
  • Apply specialized tools and follow documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engines and related components in the field.
  • Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, and warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
  • Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
  • Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislations.
Requirements:
  • Apprentice-trained Engine Technician (preferred).
  • Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution.
  • Locally valid driving permit.
  • Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
