Role Overview

As a key member of Back2Work, you will support individuals facing significant barriers to employment. Your role will involve delivering high-quality therapeutic interventions to prepare clients for the workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct onsite clinics that provide evidence-based, practical, and customized interventions for individuals or groups, ranging from adolescents to seniors.
  • Implement vocational strategies to enhance job seekers' readiness for employment, utilizing work-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
  • Manage your own schedule to align with client needs and workload effectively.
  • Facilitate mini-mental health training sessions for employment services personnel.
  • Deliver structured group programs that replicate a work-like atmosphere, fostering a sense of purpose, routine, social interaction, community building, physical activity, and motivation among job seekers.
  • Employ positive strategies to assist individuals in managing stress, enhancing well-being, and boosting confidence.
  • Collaborate with local health professionals and services as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key referrers and clients.

Candidate Profile

If you are driven, ambitious, and passionate about supporting individuals with diverse clinical and psychosocial challenges, you may be the ideal candidate for Back2Work. This role requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary allied health team.

Essential Qualifications

  • A recognized Psychology degree.
  • Full registration or eligibility for provisional registration with the relevant authority (e.g., AHPRA).
  • A strong desire for professional development.
  • A commitment to assisting a wide range of clients, including those with disabilities or unemployment challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A client-focused approach with a commitment to building strong relationships.
  • A valid Australian Driver's License and access to a vehicle.
