Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Development Manager to drive rezoning and major development initiatives from concept through approval. This role is ideal for someone who excels at navigating complex planning frameworks, shaping strategy, and engaging with stakeholders.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has strong planning expertise and knowledge of NSW planning legislation, frameworks, LEPs & SEPPs.
  • Has experience in developing rezoning strategies and preparing Planning Proposals across NSW & VIC.
  • Is able to build trusted relationships with councils, government agencies, landowners, and community groups.
  • Can provide insight on planning risks, legislation changes, and development potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop rezoning strategies and prepare Planning Proposals across NSW & VIC.
  • Manage projects from acquisition to rezoning approvals, including budgets and reporting.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice on planning risks, legislation changes, and development potential.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning or related discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in development with a focus on rezoning and planning approvals.
  • Deep knowledge of NSW planning legislation, frameworks, LEPs & SEPPs.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proven track record of securing complex planning approvals.
