Mater Misericordiae Ltd is seeking a skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Mater Private Hospital Mackay. As a key member of our Health and Safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our employees and patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert health and safety advice, guidance, and coaching to Mater Health Services (MHS) staff.
- Ensure compliance with legislative and operational health and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with the Injury Management team to establish and facilitate local intervention initiatives and individual case management.
- Develop and maintain systems and processes associated with employee health and safety.
- Certificate IV Health and Safety or working towards.
- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or similar (desired qualification).
- Prior experience in a comparable role.
- Prior experience in a healthcare environment (highly desired).
- Contemporary knowledge and application of legislation and guidelines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as a member of a geographically segregated team.
