We are seeking a Geology Expert Advisor to join our Technical Development team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the success of our closure studies and growth initiatives.

Job Description
  • Provide technical expertise in geochemistry, hydrogeology, and geology to product groups and business units, project and study shaping.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on reactive mineral waste and closure-related geochemical challenges.
  • Engage and influence exploration, growth, and closure studies to utilize geochemistry tools for long-term waste behavior understanding and environmental impact mitigation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide technical input on mine management and closure-related issues.
  • Plan and implement rehabilitation and closure regarding landform design and geochemistry.
  • Geochemical characterisation of mine wastes.
  • Development of mineral waste management strategies for growth studies, operations, and closure.
  • Water chemistry assessment and prediction.
  • Unsaturated flow characterisation and prediction.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in geochemistry, geology, or a relevant discipline.
  • Significant experience in a relevant field, including closure projects and/or rehabilitation.
  • Persuasion and engagement skills, with experience in operations or studies.
  • Geochemistry skills applied to reactive waste.
  • Strong ability to manage, lead, influence, and develop effective relationships with key stakeholders.
