Your Role

As the Vinnies Van Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the effective and efficient operation of the Illawarra Van Services and associated support activities. This includes volunteer coordination, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and building partnerships with stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities
  • Ensure the operations of the service comply with relevant policies, procedures, and government regulations.
  • Liaise with clients, government agencies, community groups, and corporate organizations to facilitate sponsorship and support.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the program, including working with stakeholders, van services, kitchen areas, and office spaces.
  • Lead a team of employees and volunteers, including effective attraction, recruitment, onboarding, and training.
  • Facilitate Advisory Committee meetings and Team Coordinator meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to promote a positive organizational culture.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in Community Services or a related field.
  • Previous administrative experience, including the use of Microsoft Office products and advanced organization and time management abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and relationship management skills.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage both staff and volunteers.
