Job Title: Director of Engineering

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering to join our team at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our Engineering team and ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level property maintenance knowledge and expertise.
  • Lead a team of Engineering professionals and assist with the management of the budget, capital expenditure projects, and preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure the hotel maintains high standards of safety, security, and asset protection.
  • Manage contractors and ensure the hotel upholds WH&S and fire safety responsibilities.
  • Lead the emergency response for all facility issues and audit and report as required.
  • Manage project work and ensure timelines are met.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the management of a maintenance function within a large multi-story complex.
  • Ability to multi-task with exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing a team.
  • Thinking outside the box and proven problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to carry out emergency maintenance work in the event of an emergency.
