We are seeking a skilled Sheep Livestock Farmer to join our team in Moora, Western Australia.

The CE Gardiner and DW Gardiner and JE Gardiner and RM Gardiner Partnership operates three agricultural properties in Western Australia.

We require a Sheep Livestock Farmer to assist with the maintenance and repair of all agricultural plant equipment, vehicles, implements, compressors, pumps, generators, farm accessories etc on the current inventory;

  • Maintenance of farm buildings, fences, plant equipment and water supply systems and infrastructure;
  • Maintenance of farm records, evaluation and planning of farming activities, monitoring of market activity and planning lamb and crop production accordingly;
  • Manage, plan and co-ordinate the sheep stock farming components of the business with reference to breeding, raising, marketing, sale and maintenance of their health and condition;
  • Manage, plan and co-ordinate the winter feed crop farming component of the business concerning the planting, cultivating, harvesting, sale and transportation of the crops with due regard for fertilising, pest and weed control;
  • Management of business capital, selection, appointment and management of staff and contractors;
  • Plan, organise, control, coordinate, perform and be responsible for the overall management function of the sheep farming components of the farming enterprises located at the Moora properties.

To be considered you will need:

  • Completion of at least a relevant Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant post-qualification employment experience OR;
  • At least 5 years of employment experience as a Livestock Farmer

This is a full time position working 38 hours per week with an immediate start available. An attractive annual remuneration package is on offer.
