Overview of the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Expert to join our team at Veolia, a leading provider of environmental solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to our mission of preserving and renewing natural resources.

Salary Information

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive remuneration package, estimated to be around $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, plus shift allowance.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently servicing, maintaining, and repairing a diverse range of plant, equipment, and fleet vehicles. You will execute scheduled daily work tasks as assigned by the Workshop Supervisor or Leading Hand, meeting quality standards and time constraints. Your duties will also include accurately completing and submitting work orders, purchase orders, and part requisitions on a daily basis, ensuring all necessary information is captured.

You will diligently monitor and record stock and part levels, promptly reporting any discrepancies to maintain an efficient supply chain. Additionally, you will adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, promoting a culture of workplace safety. As a key member of our team, you will diagnose complex mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime. You will also work closely with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of projects.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in automotive repair, with proven mechanical knowledge and experience. You must commit to workplace safety and compliance, holding a valid Australian-recognised Diesel/Heavy Vehicle Mechanic's trade certificate. A valid HR Licence and Forklift operation certification are also desirable. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply to gain experience in the waste management industry.
