Key Role in Forest Management

Forest management and fire prevention specialists are sought to lead operational tasks and oversee activities in Victoria's state forests, national parks, and protected public land.

This is an opportunity to join a team committed to environmental conservation and public safety. The selected candidate will contribute to both emergency response and planned burning operations across the state.

The role requires strong expertise and coordination skills to ensure the ongoing effectiveness and output of workcentres. The ideal candidate will have experience working in bushfire response or forest operations, with a good understanding of natural resource management, preferably with knowledge of forest management and forest operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage work groups and oversee operational tasks and fire prevention activities
  • Coordinate with teams to achieve mission goals
  • Ensure the ongoing effectiveness and output of workcentres

Requirements:

  • Current manual driver's license (conditions A, I & V not acceptable)
  • Demonstrated experience working in bushfire response or forest operations
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding in natural resource management, preferably with good knowledge of forest management and forest operations
