Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Structures/Civil Supervisor to join our team in Gold Coast. This is an excellent opportunity to drive your career further and work on a 10-year program of works for the City of Gold Coast.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage a self-perform team and subcontractors
  • Coordinate multiple cranes on site
  • Ensure workers implement control measures to minimize risk to health and safety of themselves and others through SWMS, Special Processes and Corrective Actions
  • Report incidents, non-conformances and near misses and participate in incident investigations when required
  • Collaborate with project engineers/managers, civil/ mechanical/ electrical disciplines
  • Plan, calculate and monitor daily cost of resources
  • Conduct Toolbox talks and prestart meetings

Requirements

  • Appropriate trade certificate (or equivalent)
  • Experience as a field Supervisor working on civil projects involving water retaining structures
  • Proven commitment to leading safety, quality and environmental compliance on site
  • Strong people management skills, the ability to develop effective teams
  • A sound understanding of industrial construction methodologies and standards
  • Strong management capabilities with the ability to lead from the front (both subcontractors and self-perform staff)
