Job Description

The Role:

Our organisation is seeking a strategic and hands-on Risk and Compliance Manager to oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our risk management and compliance frameworks.

This key leader will work across the business to identify and mitigate risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and embed a strong governance culture.

They will be instrumental in driving initiatives that protect our organisation and support sustainable growth.

Reporting to the Head of Governance, Risk and Compliance, this role includes but is not limited to:

  • Maintaining, analysing and regularly reviewing the risk register and developing responsive and proactive solutions for the mitigation of emerging risk.
  • Developing and implementing appropriate risk reporting for senior executive and the Board Risk and Compliance Committee to support effective and informed decision making.
  • Identifying and detecting potential threats to brand, reputation, financial sustainability and operational efficiency to fully develop a shared understanding for the Institute's risk exposure.
  • Assisting managers across the Institute understand and meet various compliance measures.

Job Summary

As a key member of our team, you will:

- Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of risk management and compliance frameworks.

- Work with senior leaders to drive initiatives that protect our organisation and support sustainable growth.

- Develop and implement risk reporting for senior executives and the Board Risk and Compliance Committee.

- Identify and detect potential threats to our brand, reputation, financial sustainability, and operational efficiency.

- Assist managers across the Institute understand and meet various compliance measures.

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in Risk Management, Law, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Proven experience in risk and compliance management, preferably in a complex or regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, governance frameworks, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • The demonstrated ability to lead projects, influence stakeholders, and manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in risk management systems, compliance tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
