Risk Management Specialist

About this opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Safety and Risk Specialist to join our team at Woolworths Group. As a key member of our People Team, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating material risks across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Perform risk assessments and data analysis to identify key areas of material risk, and present recommendations for mitigation based on sound risk management principles.
- Facilitate and lead learning and education sessions to build organisational capability and educate on specific areas of risk.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to mitigate material risks and enhance safe systems of work.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing advice and support on identified areas of material risk.
- Define, develop, and maintain strategies and programs to support compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in safety or equivalent, and/or relevant industry experience.
- 4+ years in a similar role that requires leadership and influencing at the senior level across a large complex organisation.
- Strong technical and operational safety experience, with the ability to understand and interpret results from data and draw conclusions.
- Knowledge of State and Territory legislative requirements, standards, and codes of practice.
- Strong influencing, engagement, and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders.
