Job Opportunity Summary

A seasoned engineering position exists for an experienced professional to oversee complex technical projects in the manufacturing and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, test, and commission control and instrumentation systems.
  • Mentor junior engineers to ensure high-quality work.
  • Prepare project proposals, estimates, and technical documentation to meet client needs.
  • Engage with stakeholders and maintain exceptional client satisfaction standards.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in industrial control and instrumentation engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and Codes.
  • Proficiency in DCS (Bailey, Yokogawa, Honeywell), PLC (Allen Bradley, Modicon, Siemens), and SCADA systems (Citect, Geo SCADA, Experion, FactoryTalk, Wonderware).
  • Experience with motor control, P&ID/PFD preparation, instrumentation selection, and commissioning.
  • Expertise in communication protocols (Profibus, Fieldbus, HART) and safety instrumented systems.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Electrical Engineering degree from a reputable institution and RPEQ registration in Queensland.
  • Minimum 15 years' relevant experience in industrial or consulting environments.
  • Corporate membership of Engineers Australia (CPEng/NPER-3) preferred.
  • Engineering or Business Management studies advantageous.
