About the Role

Pace Appointments are working with a client who has over 35 years of experience in manufacturing and servicing the mining and mineral processing industries. This company is known for its unique engineering and technology, producing high-quality, high-performance specialized machines.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute machining tasks by examining and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Program machines by entering instructions and calculating requirements as needed
  • Complete documentation, including Quality Assurance data sheets, time scanned to production traveller and end-of-shift changeover sheets
  • Maintain and ensure the operational efficiency of machining equipment
  • Adhere to site Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Policies and Procedures at all times


Requirements

  • Certificate III in Engineering (Machining) or similar trade qualification
  • Exceptional precision machining skills and a strong appreciation of quality in a low-volume, high-value environment
  • Demonstrated organisation and time management skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
  • Effective written and spoken communication skills
  • Current QLD 'C' Class Open Drivers licence
  • Physical ability to perform extended standing periods


Desirable

  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Basic IT competency, including Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in 3D modelling software, ideally SolidWorks / SolidCAM
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to take direction and feedback positively
  • Current 'MR' Class Driver's Licence
  • Current Forklift Licence
  • Current Overhead Crane Licence
