About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Resident Lifestyle Officer to join our team at Aegis Shoreline, a new premium Residential Aged Care home located in North Coogee, near Port Coogee Marina.

As a Resident Lifestyle Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive, meaningful, and enjoyable lifestyle programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.

You will work closely with the Facility Manager and Occupational Therapist to coordinate, supervise, and participate in the daily delivery of lifestyle and therapy programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing lifestyle programs that promote social interaction, physical activity, and mental stimulation.
  • Coordinating and supervising the daily delivery of lifestyle and therapy programs.
  • Participating in the admission process and promoting the Facility's lifestyle programs to new residents.
  • Acting as a resource to uphold the Excellence in Dining principles and liaising with resident food services to ensure individualized requests are met.
  • Managing lifestyle programs, including intergenerational activities, bookings, and bus trips.
  • Organizing resident and relative meetings.
  • Coordinating volunteers.
  • Attending dining services and responding to residents' and families' queries.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Hold a genuine interest in working with older people.
  • Experience in therapy (essential).
  • Experience in aged care (desirable).
  • Experience in hospitality (desirable).
  • A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher or experience.
  • Proven experience in the coordination of enjoyable lifestyle programs in aged care.
  • Full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance.
