About the Job

This is a practical, safety-focused role for a Civil Works Labourer to join our crew in Biggenden. As part of our Construction & Maintenance team, you will help deliver new roadworks and maintain critical infrastructure across the southern part of the North Burnett region.

  • Road and drainage works
  • Setting up safe traffic control zones
  • Operating a variety of tools and equipment
About You

You are a reliable, safety-conscious team player who is comfortable working outdoors in all conditions. You take direction well, operate with care around plant and equipment, and take pride in contributing to practical, on-the-ground outcomes for your community.

  • A current 'C' Class driver's licence
  • A valid Construction Induction (White Card)
  • Traffic Management Implementation Program licence
  • Traffic Control Industry Authority
  • The physical ability to carry out manual labour in hot and noisy conditions
  • A positive approach to teamwork and safe work practices
  • Good communication skills and basic literacy, numeracy, and computer/device use
  • A willingness to undertake training and follow Council procedures
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment medical assessments, including drug and alcohol screening, to confirm fitness to safely perform the role
