Job Title: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced educator to join our team as a senior secondary school teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering in-depth knowledge of the subject to students, preparing them for board exams and fostering a healthy learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons in the subject to senior secondary students, ensuring they understand complex concepts and meet academic standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive lesson plans according to the curriculum, incorporating modern teaching methods and technology-enhanced instruction.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and exams, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Provide individual support and mentorship to students as required, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
  • Integrate project-based learning and digital tools into classroom activities, promoting critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Organize and participate in school activities and workshops, contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance, using data to inform instruction and improve student outcomes.
  • Foster discipline, moral values, and academic excellence among students, setting high expectations and encouraging a growth mindset.
  • Coordinate with other teachers and staff for collaborative activities, building strong relationships and a sense of community within the school.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Masters degree in the subject from a recognized university, with a strong understanding of the curriculum and pedagogy.
  • B.Ed. is mandatory, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development and teaching excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
  • A strong command of the subject and ability to explain complex concepts clearly, making them accessible to students of varying abilities.
  • Experience with the relevant curriculum, including any updates or revisions, ensuring that instruction is current and aligned with state and national standards.
  • Proficiency in using technology and digital tools in the classroom, leveraging educational software, apps, and online resources to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for teaching, with a willingness to go above and beyond to support students' success and well-being.
