About the Role:

The Building Services Coordinator is a key position within the City of Cockburn, responsible for ensuring a high standard of building surveying practice and customer service is provided to internal and external customers.

As a Building Services Coordinator, you will provide professional and technical assistance to the Manager Public Health and Building Services, as well as the broader Development and Compliance Business Unit leadership team.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring a high standard of building surveying practice and customer service
  2. Providing professional and technical assistance to the Manager Public Health and Building Services
  3. Assisting the Development and Compliance Business Unit leadership team

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  1. Extensive building surveying experience and Level 1 or Level 2 DEMIRS Registration (WA)
  2. Confidence in conducting and documenting building inspections for all categories and construction types
  3. Extensive knowledge and technical proficiency in solving complex issues in a statutory environment
  4. Knowledge and experience in implementing up-to-date building practices and applying relevant legislation
  5. Strong communication skills, suitable for presenting complex issues to a diverse audience
