About the Role

Mater Health Services is seeking qualified medical practitioners to join our team in Adult Emergency Medicine. As a Senior Medical Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our emergency department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical care to patients in the emergency department
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of emergency department policies and procedures
  • Participate in teaching and training programs for junior medical staff
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
  • Eligible for general registration with AHPRA
  • Registered as a trainee with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine or intending to do so
  • At least 2 years' postgraduate experience (3 years for Registrar/PHO)
  • Broad experience in emergency medicine
  • Previous experience in Anaesthesia, Intensive Care, and Rural Emergency Medicine is desirable
