Job Overview

A leading provider of telecommunications services to the mining, industrial, logistics, construction, marine, and emergency services sectors is seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join their team in the Hunter Valley region.

This is a full-time permanent role with a competitive hourly rate of $50-55, plus superannuation and a company service vehicle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute, service, and maintain telecommunications equipment on mine sites to ensure client expectations are met and positive customer relationships are developed and maintained.
  • Lead technical service delivery teams in planning, installing, commissioning, and delivering solutions, and prioritize planned and unplanned workload.
  • Work with LTE networks, DRS radio, and/or fleet management systems, and have experience with communication systems across a range of equipment including draglines, excavators, haul trucks, and light vehicles.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to assist with functional specification requirements and integrate and implement technical solutions with management and user groups.
  • Problem solve and fault-find in time-critical situations, and possess a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Trade level certificate in electronics, telecommunications, electrical, auto electrics, or a similar field.
  • Proven ability to work in a similar role within the mining or telecommunications industry.
  • Experience in leading technical service delivery teams and working with LTE networks, DRS radio, and/or fleet management systems.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Order 43 (or willing to obtain), Working safely at heights certificate, Tower rescue training, and First Aid certificate.
