For over 30 years, we have been committed to improving the mental health outcomes of young people aged 12-25 through groundbreaking early intervention and evidence-based models of care.
The Mental Health Clinician will provide assessment, planning, and implementation services for recovery-oriented interventions at our center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing). Must have full/provisional general registration with AHPRA or eligibility for AASW.
- Social workers must have/be eligible for mental health accreditation (2+ years FTE experience in mental health setting in last 5 years) and eligibility for membership with AASW.
- Experience working with young people between 12 to 25 years of age, in the provision of mental health care, including an understanding of their developmental stages and transitions.
- Skills in completing mental health assessments, shared decision-making, risk assessments, and crisis intervention/safety planning; psychoeducation and short-term/brief interventions.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders, including a multi-disciplinary team, and First Nations, culturally diverse and LGBTQI+ backgrounds.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and willingness to engage in research and ongoing learning.
