Role Description

For over 30 years, we have been committed to improving the mental health outcomes of young people aged 12-25 through groundbreaking early intervention and evidence-based models of care.

The Mental Health Clinician will provide assessment, planning, and implementation services for recovery-oriented interventions at our center.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing). Must have full/provisional general registration with AHPRA or eligibility for AASW.
  2. Social workers must have/be eligible for mental health accreditation (2+ years FTE experience in mental health setting in last 5 years) and eligibility for membership with AASW.
  3. Experience working with young people between 12 to 25 years of age, in the provision of mental health care, including an understanding of their developmental stages and transitions.
  4. Skills in completing mental health assessments, shared decision-making, risk assessments, and crisis intervention/safety planning; psychoeducation and short-term/brief interventions.
  5. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders, including a multi-disciplinary team, and First Nations, culturally diverse and LGBTQI+ backgrounds.
  6. Proficiency in clinical documentation and willingness to engage in research and ongoing learning.
