The role of the Spray Technician at our horticultural wholesale operation involves maintaining pest, disease and weed free crops across our enterprise. This requires a high level of skill and knowledge in the application of chemicals, as well as strong communication and teamwork skills.

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Have a certificate in horticulture or a related field (desired but not essential)
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Operate trackers, quad bikes and other spraying equipment with precision and safety

The Spray Technician will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and mixing chemicals according to label guidelines
  • Applying growth regulators, fungicides, insecticides and herbicides as required
  • Maintaining the plant health storage area and ensuring all equipment is in good working order
  • Completing scheduled scouting programs and maintaining compulsory spray records and calendars
