Tax Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Tax Consultant to join our Sydney team. As a key member of our Corporate Tax service line, you will work closely with Partners and clients to deliver exceptional tax advice and support.
Job DescriptionYour primary responsibilities will include:
- Preparation and review of company and trust tax returns for financial services clients;
- Research and assistance with tax consulting advice on various matters, including tax treaties, hybrid mismatches, and Controlled Foreign Companies;
- Assisting clients with M&A activities, including tax structuring and due diligence services;
- Researching and preparing advice on international tax issues;
- Supporting clients with ATO reviews, governance matters, and audits.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with clients and develop your skills in corporate tax advisory services. Our team is committed to providing exceptional client service and fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A university degree in a related discipline, such as Accounting or Finance;
- Significant experience in corporate tax professional services, preferably working with financial services clients;
- A good understanding of Australian taxation law and basic tax effect accounting calculations;
- Strong analytical skills and an inquisitive mindset;
- Demonstrable strong work ethic and commitment to excellent client service.
