Warehouse Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled warehouse operations specialist to join our team in Edinburgh.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a range of equipment including high-reach forklifts, pallet and unit picking and packing using RF scanning, and completing manual handling duties within a freezer/chiller environment.
You will store and maintain materials, equipment, and tools, and identify and escalate Food Safety & Quality, hazard, and risk issues to leadership teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating a forklift in a safe and efficient manner
- High-reach forklift operation, 7 bays high, single bay deep
- Pallet and unit picking and packing using RF scanning and high-reach RC and RM forklifts for both warehouse and truck loading/unloading operations
- Completing manual handling duties
- Working within a freezer/chiller environment
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience operating a forklift, preferably with RC and/or RM stand-up forklifts
- Warehouse and/or Distribution experience or similar required
- Ability to understand and follow instructions and procedures
- Ability to work well independently, within a team environment
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Commitment, reliability, and motivation
- Ability to respond calmly when faced with obstacles
- Physical fitness to repetitively lift 5kg-15kg
- Flexibility to cover various shifts such as regular weekend work and public holidays
