Portfolio Risk Manager

Job Summary:

  • Oversee the refinement and execution of underwriting policies to balance risk and drive growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage portfolios to mitigate credit risk, including chargebacks, refunds, and fees due to insolvency.
  • Develop and maintain credit risk models and customer risk scoring to evaluate exposure across merchants and partners.
  • Proactively manage credit, reputational, geographic, and other operational risks associated with portfolio performance.
  • Work closely with finance teams to establish controls and prevent financial losses.
  • Establish clear decision-making reporting on portfolio movements, risks, and opportunities.
  • Drive regulatory reporting for merchant portfolios.
  • Provide timely and consistent risk decisions (underwriting).
  • Collaborate with sales teams and partners to optimize sales and underwriting processes.
  • Conduct ongoing due diligence and portfolio risk monitoring.
  • Presents credit risk findings and reports to stakeholders and senior management.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk management principles.
  • Experience working with risk modeling and portfolio analysis tools.
