Council is offering a part-time role for a motivated student currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering, preferably in Civil or Environmental disciplines.
This temporary two-year contract will provide practical experience while continuing studies. The successful applicant will be supported in balancing work and study, with assistance available towards university tuition fees.
The role requires contributing to the delivery of key projects, working across multiple business units, and applying academic knowledge in a real-world context.
Key Responsibilities Include:• Supporting experienced senior engineers across the full engineering lifecycle• Contribute to project delivery and development opportunities
Requirements:
- • Be enrolled in and currently studying a Bachelor degree qualification in Civil Engineering or other relevant equivalent tertiary qualification, with eligibility for acceptance to Engineers Australia upon completion;
- Have successful completion of a minimum of two (2) years full-time study, or equivalent, in the above mentioned degree and satisfactory academic achievement in current undergraduate studies;
- Be able to demonstrate well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to multi-task and prioritise work within an environment of competing demands;
- Have Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel);
- Hold a current Class C unrestricted drivers licence.
