Are you a passionate Psychiatrist seeking a rewarding career in regional Queensland? We have an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Staff Specialist / Staff Specialist / Senior Medical Officer to join our multidisciplinary team delivering outstanding mental health care.

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Psychiatrist to provide specialist psychiatric assessment and treatment across a varied caseload. You will work alongside experienced professionals committed to recovery-oriented and trauma-informed care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert psychiatric care across inpatient, outpatient, and hospital-in-the-home settings
  • Mentor and supervise junior medical staff and allied health team members
  • Contribute to service development and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Play a vital role in the education and training of future mental health clinicians

About the Department:
Our Mental Health division is a dynamic and evolving department embedded within a major public health service. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, integrated mental health care across all age groups, with dedicated teams in Adult Community Mental Health, Child & Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS), Older Persons Mental Health, Acute Inpatient Psychiatry, Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, and Hospital in the Home (HITH).

This role offers a remuneration package valued up to $528,085 p.a., including base salary from $182,106 – $266,677 p.a. plus significant allowances, up to 12.75% superannuation, relocation assistance and accommodation support, flexible rostering to support work/life balance, and the opportunity to live and work in a beautiful coastal region offering affordable lifestyle, beaches, and easy access to Fraser Island.
