About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to lead the development of our AI platform. As a key member of our AI Media team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable backend systems that power our AI products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of our Ingredient Generation Service
  • Contribute to the overall strategy of ingredient generation capabilities at Canva
  • Ensure the platform scales as Canva ships more AI products
  • Keep the platform healthy

Requirements

  • Commercial experience in a software development environment, building and operating scalable backend systems
  • Experience designing platforms that cater for multiple consumers with varying requirements
  • Comfortable using Java
  • Good writing and verbal communication skills
