Research Support Specialist

The Royal Melbourne Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our research team as a Research Support Specialist. In this key role, you will play a critical part in supporting our study teams to deliver exceptional research outcomes.

As a member of the Office for Research, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Research Governance and Ethics Officers and Office Coordinator. Your primary focus will be on ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and workflows, maintaining accurate records, and assisting in processing submissions to the Office for Research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service while working collaboratively with stakeholders and the research community.
  • Maintain all relevant databases and systems in accordance with departmental procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of reports, amendments, and safety reports.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality outputs by functional areas within agreed timelines.

Requirements:

  • Experience in compliance, operating procedures, and/or quality assurance.
  • Ability to manage timeframes effectively, meet deadlines, and respond promptly to stakeholders and the team.
  • Strong understanding of health-related services and workplaces, as well as clinical research principles.
