Career Opportunity: Disability Employment Support

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Disability Employment Mentor. The role will involve working with young people with disabilities to support their transition into employment.
As a Disability Employment Mentor, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with disabilities. You will work collaboratively with participants, families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement employment plans that meet their individual needs and goals.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and possess a strong understanding of disability employment principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide support and mentorship to young people with disabilities to assist them in developing their vocational identity and achieving their employment goals.
- Work collaboratively with participants, families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement employment plans that meet individual needs and goals.
- Provide on-site support and assistance to participants who are transitioning from school to work or have recently commenced employment.
- Travel as required to provide service delivery and support to participants.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
- A current driver's licence and comprehensively insured vehicle.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Ability to pass a Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Ability to complete an NDIS Worker Orientation Module prior to commencement.
