We are seeking an experienced Pressure Vessel Inspector to join our team at Albemarle Corporation. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the sites mechanical integrity program in accordance with regulatory, Australian, and international code compliance. You will also supervise site welding activities, provide breakdown and shutdown welding support, and manage site welder qualifications and weld procedure specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development of asset integrity maintenance plans and associated inspection work instructions for scheduled inspections of pressure equipment and storage tanks.
• Co-ordinate non-destructive testing activities to support pressure vessel and welding inspection requirements.
• Raise corrective notifications in SAP for pressure vessel and weld repair remedial activities.
• Develop modification and repair work scopes (in consultation with mechanical engineers), including weld repairs to comply with AS1210 and ASME VIII for pressure vessels, AS4041 for pressure piping and AS4100 for structural repairs.
• Ensure welding activity quality assurance records are maintained in SAP or equipment history files for repairs and modification works
• Manage welder qualifications and recertification records
• Manage weld procedure specifications and associated weld procedure qualification records
• Technical review and approval for use of external welding contractor weld procedure specifications and welder qualifications.

Work Experience / Technical Skill:

• A minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within a chemical processing plant or highly complex environment.
• Demonstrates a sound knowledge and understanding of governing standards for managing pressure equipment AS1210, AS3788 and ASME VIII).
• Fully conversant with welding codes.
• Ability to understand technical and fabrication drawings.

Estimated Salary:$120,000 per annum
