Job Summary
We are seeking an Enrolled Nurse with Grade 3 experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work on a contract basis, providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This opportunity offers a competitive rate of $65.94 per hour (dependent on experience level), plus penalties. Travel assistance and accommodation are also provided to ensure your comfort and convenience.
Key Responsibilities
This role requires a highly skilled and adaptable Enrolled Nurse who can provide exceptional patient care. Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with the healthcare team
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:
- AHPRA Registration
- Rural nursing and emergency experience
- Aged Care National Police Certificate
Desirable Qualifications
Candidates with the following qualifications will be highly regarded:
- Paediatric life support certification
- Experience in imminent birthing situations
- Proficiency in ieMR (Integrated Electronic Medical Record) system
- Previous experience working in QLD Health, Mackay HHS, or other Australian healthcare facilities
Competencies
The ideal candidate must demonstrate proficiency in the following competencies:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Life Support (ALS)
- Emergency Triage Education Kit (ETEK)
- Manual and patient handling techniques
- Infection control practices
- Aggressive behaviour management strategies
- Mandatory reporting for suspicions of child abuse and neglect
- Medications management, including QPHS (Drugs and Poisons) Regulations 2012
- Proof of vaccines/immunity as per QLD Health
