About the Role
The Clinical Liaison Nurse will provide high-level clinical expertise and advice to patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals. This role is a clinical and management leader within the Surgical Clinical Stream, responsible for ensuring clinical standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and manage a centralized approach to planned surgery waiting list management.
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff within the Surgical Clinical Stream.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and streamline clinical processes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the maintenance of high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- Division 1 Nurse Registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated leadership and project management ability in the clinical setting.
- Demonstrated involvement in maintenance and improvement of clinical standards.
- Surgical nursing background.
- Post-Graduate qualifications relevant to the position and/or leadership and management (desirable).
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and the ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
