About the Role

We are seeking skilled and resourceful candidates to join our team, working closely with Defence. With over 30 years of experience as an Australian Industry partner to Defence, we pride ourselves on our unwavering commitment to excellence.

Australian Citizenship is essential for this position as you will be required to have a security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Your New Challenge

In your role as Trade Professional, you will perform various trade-related tasks associated with the maintenance and repair of vehicles, plant, and equipment. You will assist in managing tools and equipment, conducting maintenance tasks, contributing to collaborative innovation, and operating plant and machinery.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage tools and equipment within the Supply Customer Account/s on the Commonwealth Mandated Information System and on Asset Registers.
  • Conduct maintenance tasks within applicable competencies under the supervision of a tradesperson.
  • Identify continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to collaborative innovation.
  • Operate plant and machinery provided by the Commonwealth to perform maintenance tasks as required.
  • Perform additional work-related responsibilities as directed by the Team Leader.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in technical related work, preferably part qualified in a Certificate of trade Proficiency, relevant to the trade environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in manual handling.
  • A current Australian State or territory class C Driver's Licence.
  • A current State open drivers' licence for medium Rigid (MR) classes of vehicles.
  • A current Forklift Licence or ability to obtain prior to placement.
